Van Gogh said it best. We agree with him that art is the ultimate tangible expression of love and gratitude. Finding the perfect art, for yourself and or anyone else, is an art of its own. We collaborated with Emilia Börjesson of Placemeant to discover artists from around the world whose process, technique and ethos is an investment of beauty. In the first curation of the Arjé GALLERY, Exhibition I, each piece, large scale or small, embodies the vision of Mind, Body and Spirit woven throughout the shapes in our HOME collection.

And because we know that presentation can be the hardest part, each piece is ready to be displayed, in the purest, understated frames and museum grade glass to showcase each work in its best light - ready to add its magic to your own private collection.

Shophie Klerk

Working out of her hometown of Copenhagen, Denmark, Sophie Klerk makes art out of an "intuitive and emotional response to my surroundings and materials, the hidden, the nostalgic—layers of the known and unknown."

Klerk uses mixed media to create her collages—found paper and objects, sometimes photographs—that she layers and assembles together in abstract graphics rooted in texture and color composition. Created as part of an exclusive series for ARJÉ, each collage is of symbolic shapes that embody the ARJÉ philosophy of mind, body and spirit.  

"All art is a gift. It is first of all a gift that the maker can do it. It is then a gift to someone else, whether they pay for it or not. The wonder of it is that we cannot get the production of these gifts stopped. Art is life seeking itself. It is our intractable expressions of love for the beauties, ideas and epiphanies we regularly find. I framed the painting. It's now hanging in our den. I have walked this earth for 30 years, and, out of gratitude, want to leave some souvenir..."
