Jessalyn Brooks

Working from her Los Angeles studio, Jessalyn Brooks paints the female form with an instinctive, almost electric line, drawing on the geometry of Cubism to fracture, stretch and reimagine the body through movement and gesture. We were drawn to the force and sensuality in her work, where each figure feels like part of a larger language, making the pieces especially compelling to collect over time as one begins to shift the way you see another.
