Philippine de Richemont Art Work in Progress

Every now and then, we meet an artist whose work breathes new life into our world. Philippine de Richemont is one such artist. Her pieces, rich in emotion and movement, resonate deeply with the Arjé spirit.

Growing up in Paris, Philippine was immersed in an environment where art was as essential as air. Her parents, both artists, instilled in her a love for creativity that only grew stronger over time. This early exposure to art, combined with her studies at ESAG-Penninghen and the California College of Art, has shaped her into an artist of remarkable depth and versatility.

Philippine de Richemont Study of Form

Philippine’s art is a flowing conversation of form and color, where every piece seamlessly connects to the next. Her background in ballet and piano strongly informs her work, where each stroke is imbued with a sense of rhythm and grace. The result is a body of work that feels both timeless and alive, inviting the viewer into a continuous narrative that transcends the canvas.

Her intuitive use of color is a masterful balance, akin to a finely tuned composition. She plays with contrasts—subtle yet bold, familiar yet new—creating a visual symphony that resonates on a deep emotional level. Each piece captures the essence of movement and emotion, embodying a philosophy we hold dear at Arjé: everything is interconnected. There is no beginning or end to her art, just as there is no start or finish in the flow of life.
