Born in Poland and moving between Sweden and Italy, Luciana Ame works without a fixed studio, allowing each place she inhabits to enter the work. Trained first in classical music, she paints the human form in bold black lines laid down alla prima, without correction, and we were drawn to the freedom in that gesture, where ancient, Renaissance and modern references meet in works that feel immediate, rhythmic and deeply alive in a room.
