Part of a limited series created exclusively for ARJÉ, this coiled and pinched stoneware vessel is a one-of-a-kind piece that brings an element of texture and shape to any space. Made-to-order by hand in Helena, Montana using a few tools, each of the maker's Giselle Hicks graphic vessels are shaped, dried, and fired; then cooled, sanded, washed, and glazed, and you can see the resulting unique textures in the finished clay. This artisanal handcrafted vase stands out with its zig-zag silhouette, making the matte black clay piece a striking handmade flower vase.

"I have always been interested in the domestic space and how our experiences within the home—a space of intimate exchange—affect and define how we live outside of our homes," says Hicks. "Ultimately, I want my work to be part of the beauty of people's everyday lives." This functional zig zag silhouette, done in a matte Anthracite Black, measures nine inches by nine inches—perfectly sized to hold a bouquet of flowers or branches, or as an accent piece alongside the rest of the series.
