Giselle Hicks

We knew from the beginning that Giselle Hicks was an Arjé maker. From her studio in Helena, Montana, she coils and pinches stoneware almost entirely by hand, creating vessels that feel rough, tactile and ancient in form, yet somehow soft and completely present. We love that she leaves the fingerprints in, allowing the hand, the body and the limits of the material to remain visible, making pieces that bring something deeply human into the everyday spaces of a home.
