Introducing Bird Sculpture 5, a special creation for Arjé by Yoona Young Hur. Drawing inspiration from her Korean heritage and New York City surroundings, Yoona turns to ancient Korean “togi” earthenware, a practice steeped in history and rich with symbolism.
In this series, Yoona takes flight with the forms of birds, revered across cultures for their divine qualities and symbolism of longevity, good fortune, and more. The duality of these creatures, always on the wing yet finding rest on the wind, resonates deeply with us.
Bird 5 isn’t merely a representation but a rediscovery. Yoona captures the essence of these symbols, transforming clay into an artistic experience that speaks to our shared human longing for ambition and serenity.
All works are made by hand, unique and one of a kind.
