Working with materials such as ceramic, stone, plaster and beeswax, Common Body is a tactile exploration of symbolism, human connection, and shared experience—and finding balance with today's world.
"Making is a commitment to actuating the magic in one’s spirit," says Smith. This pair of sculptural stoneware clay candlestick holders in dark brown + natural, sold with two of the artist's own sculptural candles, was inspired by ancient indigenous artifacts and is created from locally sourced clay.
