The Art Of The Shearling

Everyone that brings a piece of Arjé into their world adds to it their own unique magic. Our community is individual and versatile, and everything we make joins your unique flavor of home and wardrobe. When you choose your perfect shearling - finding that shape and touch and color that speak to you -each one takes on a life of its own. In our favorite exchange of energy, we enter your space, and in turn, you enter ours.

We all see the same thing in so many different ways, especially beauty. Our favourite process is to collaborate with our makers and artists, looking through the eyes of others and playing with that push-pull of imagination. We invited RICHARD BRAQO - artist,designer and friend of Arjé - to envision a celebration and pursuit of pleasure on the afternoon of an Arjé Winter.

Where do you see your Winter? Maybe its après ski in Gstaad, or the snow blanketed banks of the Catskills. Perhaps it's around the table for a spontaneous lunch atop a peak in the Andes, or walking the powdery city streets. We love that Richard's vision, (and yours), of warding off a chilly day, wrapped in warmth and shearling, can be anything it wants to be, anywhere in the world.

About Artist and Designer - Richard Braqo

Richard Braqo studied art and design at parsons and after working in fashion for almost 12 years simultaneously explores his natural affinity for illustration. His mostly ink and water colour works are a study in graphic lines with a flair for the exaggerated proportions akin to fashion illustrations interwoven into an animated narrative.
