Founded in 1972 in Hikone, in Japan’s Shiga Prefecture, KINTO designs everyday objects around the way they are actually held, poured from, cooked with and lived with. We were drawn to that quiet intelligence, from stoneware made with craftspeople in Hasami to donabe, mugs and pour-over pieces whose weight, proportion and simplicity make the rituals of the kitchen and table feel beautifully resolved.
