Working from Hudson, New York, Jennie Edgar builds one-of-a-kind compositions from black silk thread and handmade Japanese papers, using grids, circles and repetition to create a sense of rhythm and atmosphere. We were drawn to the way she allows the inconsistencies of the hand to remain, giving each work a quiet tension and individuality that makes them as compelling to collect together as they are to live with on their own.
