From their studio in Valencia, Spain, Raquel Vidal and Pedro Paz look to the ancient pottery of the Mediterranean, reshaping Iberian, Roman and Greek forms through a contemporary hand. We were drawn to the tension in their work: vessels that feel unearthed yet completely present, each passing through both makers’ hands before leaving the kiln and bringing a sense of history, sculpture and quiet intrigue into the home.
